Access

Access for Patients with a Disability

We aim to give the best possible service to all our patients and make special provision where necessary. We follow the guidelines issued by the RNIB and the RNID in respect of those with visual or hearing problems.

We continually try to raise our own awareness but we rely on you both to inform us of any problems you may be having and advise us how we might best help.

Blind/partially-sighted patients

On request we can provide copies of our usual leaflets and instructions for the use of your medication in large print.

Transport to the surgery can also be arranged via FISH, a voluntary agency. Ring 0118 972 3986 allowing an absolute minimum of 48 hours notice

If you prefer it, you can book your appointment by fax on (0118) 972 4633.

Our doctors are all aware of the RNID recommendations for helping patients with a hearing problem.

The Health Centre has been designed to provide easy access for wheelchair users but you can always ring the front doorbell or ask someone to call one of the staff who are always ready to help if you have any difficulty
